I would like to be ready next year to compete, I´m in good health, maybe a little stiff, which is normal after the surgery I underwent a few weeks ago. I really want to support golf in Latin America; I like the idea of promoting golf in the area with this event. When Lisandro (Borges) contacted us, we understood that it was, perhaps, a good time to start doing so," said Tiger Woods, winner of 14 Majors and 79 PGA TOUR titles.

Meanwhile, Lisandro Borges said: "It is very important for Latin America to have a Copa America. Since we started this project last year in Argentina, we have managed to make it grow and we are proud of what we have achieved, our goal is to make Bridgestone America´s Cup Golf presented by Value bigger every year. I also want to thank Tiger for his effort and support, we all know that he underwent a surgery a few weeks ago and we value his presence today here with us."

Daniel Benvenuti highlighted that "the Bridgestone Golf America´s Cup is the most important golf event in the region. This tournament is an opportunity to adhere to the sports activities in the city with government support. It is not a coincidence that Bridgestone brand is present in the most important sporting events and now, in this championship, it shows we share the same values of competitiveness, discipline and commitment." On the other hand, Carlos Bremer said: "This event is a dream came true in a very important moment golf in Mexico. To host a tournament all over Mexico with the ambassadors who support constitutes a privilege for our country."

"It is a pride for Mexico City to receive a figure of the stature of Tiger Woods and there are no precedents in the area, of this America´s Cup Golf 2015," said Horacio De la Vega, adding that CDMX which is the capital of sports, and closes a remarkable year with events such as the final of World Cup archery and Mexico Grand Prix Formula 1. Carlos Ortiz, who will represent his country with Rodolfo Cazaubón in this Bridgestone America´s Cup Golf presented by Value, said: "whenever there is an event in my country I will do my best to accommodate my schedule, especially if it is a team tournament where you have to defend Mexican colors."
